You may have noticed the lack of sewing and quilting threads on our website, I have no excuse other than it just takes so long to put them on!

I've added today Mettler's Waxed Hand Quilting Thread.

Whether hidden or highlighted as decorative stitching, quilting waxed thread works perfectly when used for hand quilting. The extra coating of wax lets the thread glide effortlessly through heavy fabric layers. The cotton-polyester combination results in an especially high breaking resistance.

Illustrator of the children's book Guess How Much I Love You, Puppy Love designer Anita Jeram recalls being shy as a child and most at ease with animals. Her love of animals and pets is reflected in this collection with a charming depiction of these canine friends.

Who deserves your love more?!?!? 

I found a pic on Pinterest of some cat beds that were essentially just fleecy bags and thought my 'little darlings' would love them, they can curl up and let the sides drop around them, cosy!  In fact I think I might want one myself.

I've put together some instructions below on how I created mine, they are really simple to put together (and great for practising sewing curves!).  You could change the size to suit any sized pet.

Brilliantly, 'Meow' by Riley Blake has recently come in and I love it, just purrrfect for this little job.  I used plain antipill fleece for the lining, 80/20 4oz Wadding and a scrap plain piece for the base.
