Anni Downs of Hatched & Patched

Anni Downs is the creator of all the patterns, books and fabrics under the Hatched and Patched label. She has been designing in the Patchwork arena for over 20 years now and still totally addicted.

Her style is whimsical, having a little bit of quirky thrown in. With a lot of designs she likes to tell a story, sometimes with sayings, sometimes just with imagery. She loves using different mediums such as wool, cottons and linens to create a little texture in her work, and likes a slightly low tonal value. She likes giving the work a slightly organic handmade look combining stitchery, piecing and applique.

She also designs fabric with Henry Glass Fabrics, and so far has created many ranges.
